PS Plus Extra, Premium catalog currently includes a few PlayStation console exclusive games that are expected to be pulled soon. Days Gone, Death Stranding, and Ghost of Tsushima are all getting new entries in 2025, and if established departure patterns are any indication, they might leave PS Plus ahead of the new releases or soon after.

Sony has previously pulled games from PS Plus ahead of new releases

There have been instances where Sony pulled SIE published games from PS Plus ahead of new releases. Marvel’s Spider-Man and Horizon Zero Dawn, for example. Although Sony hasn’t announced Days Gone’s departure from PS Plus, given that the remastered version is due out soon, players should prioritize playing the original version.

Then, we have Death Stranding. A sequel to the PS5 console exclusive will release in June, and there’s a chance Sony will want to take advantage of sales stemming from the buzz surrounding Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Last but not least, Ghost of Yotei will launch at an unannounced date in 2025. Sony recently reconfirmed the launch window, so we expect Ghost of Tsushima to depart PS Plus sooner or later.

Other than the above, as we previously suggested, players should check out Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart soon because the game is approaching its 24-month mark in the catalog, which is when games typically leave the service.
