Sony has announced a new limited-edition PS5 DualSense controller to celebrate the release of a highly-anticipated exclusive. In partnership with Kojima Productions, the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach themed controller features the insignia and motto of Drawbridge.
Death Stranding 2 PS5 DualSense controller release date and preorder details
The Death Stranding 2 controller won’t come in the pricey DualSense Edge variant. It’ll be available for $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480 via PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
Preorders will go live on May 22 at 10 a.m. local time on both PS Direct and at participating retailers with a launch date of June 26 — the same day that Death Stranding 2 is scheduled for release. However, Sony has said that its release date and availability may vary by region.
PS Direct preorders are available in the following countries: U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
“The new controller launches alongside Death Stranding 2, where players can join Sam and his companions on a mission to save humanity from extinction,” Sony wrote.
Speaking of Death Stranding 2, a handful of previews went live this morning, and early impressions have been positive. A hands-on report is also available on PS Blog.
