Summary: The launch of the Motorola Razr 60 series is getting closer, and the “Ultra” model has passed Geekbench testing. The listing has confirmed some key specs, such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and RAM capacity. The device will bring a notable power boost compared to its predecessor.
Motorola appears to be ready to launch its new foldable phones in the Razr family. The company will launch at least a couple of models: the Razr 60 and the Razr 60 Ultra. Some markets could get the latter under the “Motorola Razr 60 Plus” name. A recent leak revealed renders of both devices in all colors. Now, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra has been listed on Geekbench, confirming that a powerful chipset will power it.
Geekbench confirms the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra
Geekbench, the benchmarking platform focused on CPU performance, put the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra to the test. As its moniker suggests, this variant will be the most powerful and premium in the series. The device achieved scores of 2,878 and 8,840 in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The listing confirms that the Razr 60 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This means an Adreno 830 GPU with ray-tracing support will be in charge of graphics processing.
For reference, its predecessor, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, used the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. This chip is a toned-down variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with a raw power output that currently sits somewhat between the mid-range and high-end. Therefore, the power jump in the Razr 60 Ultra will be quite noticeable.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is a proper flagship SoC that integrates Qualcomm’s new Oryon custom cores—which are missing even from the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 achieves scores of 1,960 and 4,917 in the same Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests. The listing confirms that the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will also have 16GB of RAM and run Android 15 out of the box. A previous leak revealed the existence of a model with 12GB of RAM.
Previously, Xpertpick spotted the “AI Yuanqi Edition” of the device (likely exclusive to China) in HDR10+ certification listings.
Some leaked specs
The latest report coincides with previous leaks about the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. A 4,540mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging will keep the lights on. Motorola will maintain a conservative design approach to the device. There will be the same 6.96-inch internal foldable display and 4-inch external displays from the previous generation model. Finally, it will offer a dual 50MP rear camera system, in addition to a 50MP front-facing camera.
