Gears of War PS5 Might Be Playable Sooner Than We Were Told

After months of rumors, Microsoft recently announced that Gears of War: Reloaded will be out on PS5 in August, but a new leak suggests that it might be playable sooner than that. Hawk-eyed fans have spotted database entries for an unannounced beta, which makes sense since the upcoming title will include multiplayer.
Gears of War: Reloaded beta likely to include PS5
As spotted by a Reddit user, a beta listing for Gears of War: Reloaded was spotted on SteamDB. Although this is for the PC version of the game, we’re pretty sure that the PS5 won’t be left out of the test, especially since the series is coming to PlayStation for the first time ever.
At one point over the weekend, SteamDB showed that there were four players in-game, which suggests that developers are prepping something that’s due out relatively soon. With Gears of War: Reloaded scheduled for August 26, we’re expecting a beta announcement and shadow drop sometime in June, possibly during an Xbox showcase.
Whether this will be an open beta or a closed beta remains to be seen. We haven’t been able to spot any strings that suggest what type of test we’re looking at.
