Summary: Chipolo has launched a new Bluetooth tracker device called the Pop, and it brings improved functionality with a bold set of new color options to personalize your style.

Chipolo has launched a new Bluetooth tracker called the Chipolo Pop, a colorful collection of connected discs that can help you keep track of or find your stuff if it gets lost. Like other Chipolo trackers, the Chipolo Pop trackers are designed to pinpoint lost items. You can secure them to just about anything you can think of, including key rings, luggage, backpacks, purses, heck, even water bottles if you have one in your collection you absolutely cannot afford to lose.

These aren’t just your same-old-same-old Chipolo trackers with a fresh coat of paint, though. No, they actually have notable improvements and upgrades that go beyond looking more vibrant. For starters, they now work with both Google’s Find My Device network and Apple’s Find My network. One tracker that’s suitable for both major smartphone platforms.

That means if you currently use one and later switch to the other, your tracker will still be viable. You won’t have to scrap it and get something new. And that’s a breath of fresh air considering a single Chipolo Pop tracker costs $29. Chipolo also sells 4-packs for $116 and 6-packs for $174. However, both the 4-packs and 6-packs are on sale for $89 and $121, respectively.

Chipolo Pop Bluetooth trackers have improved range

It wasn’t enough for Chipolo to make its trackers more colorful and visually exciting. The company also wanted to make sure they could be used by more people and in more places. Expanding to work with both Google and Apple’s networks was a good baseline, but the company wanted these trackers to do more. So, it improved the Bluetooth range with the Pop. They now work at a range of 300 feet. The range used to be 200 feet, so this is a decent expansion.

Additionally, the Pop has an IP55 rating, making it more dust-resistant and more water-resistant. With that kind of rating, you can expect these to withstand rain and other splashes or spills, but not complete immersion in water.

You can use the Pop as a remote camera shutter

If there’s any reason to use Chipolo’s free companion app over Google or Apple’s apps for these types of trackers, it’s Chipolo’s unique features. For example, you can use the Pop tracker as a remote camera shutter, and that can come in handy if you don’t have any other equipment to do the same thing.

The app does more than that, of course. You can use it to change the sound of the ring that goes off when you’re trying to find your lost stuff. Chipolo Pop comes in six different color options. Blue, Red, Yellow, White, Green, and Black. You can get them on Amazon and from Chipolo directly.
