Swedish telecoms startup Telgea raises €2.3 million to simplify connectivity for global teams

Stockholm-based Telgea, a mobile operator for international companies, announced today it has raised €2.3 million in a recent funding round to further expand beyond the eight countries it is already live in – launching a new one each month.

Amigos Venture Capital, Antler, Motivate Ventures, and SSE Ventures all participated in the funding round.

When building an international company, it’s all about removing complexity, and with every new country, that complexity grows exponentially. If businesses can reduce or even eliminate the burden of managing mobile contracts across countries, they can free up internal resources and make it significantly easier to scale globally,” says Andreas Åfeldt Franke, Co-founder and CEO of Telgea.

Founded in 2024, Telgea is a telecom provider that delivers one global platform, one contract, and seamless mobile service for businesses in 75+ countries. All plans reportedly include unlimited texts, calls, and data, with no commitment and no minimum number of plans.

Founded by Andreas Åfeldt Franke, who has previously scaled companies like Tipser and Innometrics to thousands of employees and raising €440 million, and Theis Jensen, who Founded and scaled MedTech company Sani Nudge across 16 different countries across Europe, Asia, and the US before exiting the company in 2023.

According to data provided by Telgea, global companies spend €700–1,000 per employee each year on mobile for devices, contracts, roaming, and internal admin. For a 10,000-person company, that’s approximately more than €7 million annually.

Telgea argues that most companies underestimate the true cost of managing mobile operations, including admin, IT support, and software.

Telgea looks to eliminate this complexity with one unified mobile platform. Businesses can onboard employees across countries using a single contract, number, and interface – with reportedly no roaming, no fragmented billing, and no local carrier negotiations.

Since launching in November 2024, Telgea has expanded to eight markets and signed customer agreements representing €880k in ARR.

Beyond connectivity, Telgea’s AI automates telecom operations, including onboarding and support. Virtual agents handle tasks from plan activation to issue resolution, reducing the load on IT and HR.

Just as Revolut made banking truly borderless, Telgea is breaking down global telecom barriers by fully automating what was once a manual, resource-heavy industry. This is the kind of execution that builds billion-dollar companies,” says David Wieland, Founder and managing partner at Motivate Venture Capital.
