New Hands-On iPhone 17 Dummy Video Shows Off Ultra-Thin Air Model, Updated Pro Designs [Video]

A new hands-on video from AppleTrack on YouTube gives us an early peek at dummy models of the rumored iPhone 17 lineup. Posted recently, it shows off mock-ups of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. These are just design shells, not working phones, but they hint at what Apple might unveil in September 2025.The iPhone 17 Air dummy is strikingly slim, measuring about 5.65mm thick compared to the 8.25mm iPhone 16 Pro. "It is nearly half as thin as the current Pro phones and it does not feel real in your hand," AppleTrack notes. It allegedly sports a single 48-megapixel rear camera in a horizontal camera bar across the back, a 6.6-inch 120Hz OLED display, and a camera control button. The USB-C port is offset toward the back due to the thin design, and there are only two speaker grilles on each side of the port instead of the usual five or six. "The phone is so thin that they needed room for all of the screen, circuitry, and components," the video explains. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max dummies feature a redesigned camera module that spans the top of the back, keeping the triangular camera layout but shifting the flash, microphone, and LiDAR to the right. The telephoto zoom lens is said to gain a 48-megapixel sensor, matching the wide and ultra-wide lenses. "They're changing it because it looks different and they're adding new features underneath," AppleTrack states. The dummies retain familiar elements like the USB-C port, side buttons, and screen sizes of 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max, with no change to the Dynamic Island size.Continue ReadingShare Article:Facebook,  Twitter,  LinkedIn,  Reddit,  EmailFollow iClarified:Facebook,  Twitter,  LinkedIn,  Newsletter,  App Store,  YouTube
