Google Wants Gemini AI Built Into iPhone This Year
Google CEO Sundar Pichai revealed during court proceedings this week his hope to see the company's Gemini AI offered as an option on iPhones later this year.According to Bloomberg, Pichai's remarks came Wednesday amid the ongoing US government antitrust trial focused on Google's search deal with Apple. He expressed optimism that Gemini, a direct competitor to OpenAI's ChatGPT, could become an additional AI choice available on Apple devices within the year.Apple's own system, Apple Intelligence, handles the bulk of AI tasks on iPhone, iPad, and Mac using proprietary models.
