Berlin-based Solda.AI, an AI telesales startup, has raised a €3.5 million Seed funding round to innovate phone sales with multimodal AI voice agents that can close deals autonomously.
The round was led by Accel, with participation from AltaIR Capital. The funding will be used to further develop Solda.AI’s AI agents, partner with more enterprises worldwide and develop global sales processes.
Sergey Shalaev, Co-founder and CEO of Solda.AI, said: “At Solda.AI, we believe that the future of telesales is AI. Our vision is for voice agent-powered sales that generate revenue and provide real ROI, and we believe that we’re the first and only company to deliver this. We have already seamlessly integrated our agents into 20 partners’ sales channels, and are delighted to announce this Seed funding led by Accel to help us collaborate with more businesses and take phone sales into the age of AI.”
Founded in 2023, Solda.AI claims to be the first company building fully autonomous AI voice sales agents that can close deals from start to finish. Their voice agents have been integrated into more than 20 enterprises’ telesales operations, including tbi Bank, InDrive, Treatwell and Plata Bank.
Solda.AI was founded by Sergey Shalaev, an AI and ML entrepreneur with more than 12 years experience and expertise in recommendation services, advertising technologies, and MedTech.
A remote-first company, the Solda.AI team is based across Amsterdam, Berlin, London and Munich. Solda.AI’s agents generated €6.1 million in incremental revenue for clients in 2024 and are on target for €26.4 million this year – according to figures provided to EU-Startups.
Zhenya Loginov, partner at Accel, said: “When we first met Sergey and the Solda.AIteam, we were blown away by the AI voice agents’ human-like attributes and ability to not only handle complex conversations, but also close deals on the spot. Solda.AI’s technology has the potential to completely revolutionise the telesales market, with the team using AI to redefine sales automation from scratch. The team is already delivering on their aim to boost sales revenue with AI, with impressively low detection rates, and their product scalable by design. We’re looking forward to partnering with the team and seeing what can be achieved on the journey ahead.”
Call centres are a €25.5 billion market, with global enterprises still seeing telesales as a powerful part of their business strategy. Solda.AI believes that voice adds a personal touch to the sales process, builds trust with consumers, and allows complex sales interactions to move forward quickly and in real-time.
Additionally, they also believe that call centres are plagued by high levels of staff turnover and burnout, training cycles are long, and there is a lack of multilingual facilities for global companies.
While conversational AI companies have disrupted customer service over recent years, automating and enhancing enterprises’ interactions with customers, the sales automation market has lagged behind. This delay is due to the fact that, until recently, replicating the natural flow of human agents in conversations was unattainable. People are twice as likely to trust a human voice over an AI voice.
In addition, artificial voice technology is not optimised for complex sales conversations and is likely to be detected over the course of a minutes-long phone call – jeopardising deals and creating a barrier to AI-enabled efficiency.
With a 1% detection rate and the ability to handle 100 simultaneous phone lines at peak hours, Solda.AI claims to be the first company to overcome the challenges associated with sales automation and offer AI voice agents that can close sales over the phone.
Its voice agents are multilingual, capable of handling sales conversations in US and UK English, Spanish (including Mexican Spanish), Portuguese (including Brazilian Portuguese), French and German.
Solda.AI’s fully autonomous voice agents are able to handle a company’s entire telesales cycle at scale, reportedly processing 10,000 leads daily to make calls, follow-ups, callbacks and close deals. While less than 10% of human call centre agents reach proficiency in under two months, Solda.AI’s voice agents are reportedly ready to engage leads after two weeks of training on sales calls and scripts.
As a result, companies using Solda.AI’s voice agents see a 30% cost-efficiency increase versus call centres – as per figures provided by Solda.AI.
Pavels Gilodo, Consumer Ecosystem Lead at tbi bank, said: “At tbi bank, innovation drives everything we do. Partnering with Solda.AI has transformed our customer communication strategy. Victoria AI, our AI-driven outbound sales agent, allows us to engage customers at scale while keeping the experience personal. The results speak for themselves – improved operational efficiency, enhanced customer satisfaction, and significant contributions to our business goals. This collaboration shows how technology and shared vision can redefine customer engagement in banking.”
