Sony announced its new flagship smartphone yesterday. Its name is the Sony Xperia 1 VII, and we’re here to talk about its official case. Yes, a singular case, as only one has been listed by Sony thus far.
There is only one official case available for the Sony Xperia 1 VII
That case is called the Style Cover with Stand case, and it’s listed on the Sony UK website. The case itself is made out of plastic, and it comes with a built-in kickstand on the back. Large portions of the phone’s left and right sides are open when this case is on.
The case does seem to be thick enough to offer good protection, and it also adds a “lip” on the front for display protection. It is available in the Xperia 1 VII colors. In other words, it comes in Moss Green, Orchid Purple, and Slate Black colors, so that you can combine it with the color of the phone you purchased.
The Style Cover with Stand Case for the Sony Xperia 1 VII is priced at £34.99 in the UK. Its price will be a bit different in other markets. We’re not sure if Sony plans to add any more official cases, so we’ll have to wait and see.
The Sony Xperia 1 VII resembles its predecessor quite a bit. It’s still a boxy phone with slightly thicker top and bottom bezels, so that a display camera hole is not necessary. It still have flat sides, and an audio jack.
Sony’s latest flagship phone is immensely powerful
This phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and offers 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. UFS 4.0 flash storage is also on offer, and this phone even offers storage expansion via a microSD card.
Three compelling cameras are placed on the back, and led by a 48-megapixel 1/1.35-inch camera sensor. Android 15 comes pre-installed on the device, while a 5,000mAh battery powers the phone. Check out more Sony Xperia 1 VII specs if you’re interested in the phone.
