The post Samsung breaks silence on One UI 7 delay: 'Best possible experience' takes priority appeared first on Android Headlines.

Summary: Samsung has decided to break the silence regarding One UI 7 delay. The company said that it wants to offer the “best possible experience”, as the reason for the delay. That is not exactly detailed, at all, but at least it was confirmed that the updated rollout schedule is coming soon. The rollout will continue soon as well.
As many of you know by now, Samsung has delayed One UI 7 rollout. The update started to roll out to a handful of devices earlier this month, but was delayed soon after. A report from Korea stated that the delay is due to an unlock bug that was spotted.
Samsung has decided to break its silence over One UI 7 rollout delay
Well, Samsung has decided to break its silence and give us more information. In a statement to Android Authority, the company said that it will share an updated schedule shortly. In addition to that, Samsung said that “The One UI 7 rollout schedule is being updated to ensure the best possible experience. The new timing and availability will be shared shortly.”
So, the company did not exactly detail why the update stopped. It decided to stay completely vague, which leads us to believe that the report from Korea was spot on. That is the bug that users were complaining about, so chances are it’s accurate.
What exactly is the unlock bug? Well, users on Reddit shared a bug where their lock screen was squished an stretched, to the point where it was basically unusable. That bug was spotted on the Galaxy S24 series, but it’s possible it’s present on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, the other wto phones that have started receiving the update.
More than one bug could be behind Samsung’s decision, but we cannot be sure
Some other reports did surface, however, mentioning battery drain and a security loophole with Samsung’s ‘Secure Folder’ feature. So… perhaps there is more than one reason why Samsung decided to halt the update.
The good news is that the updated schedule is coming soon. The rollout will continue soon too, based on solutions manager on Samsung Korea’s community forums. More devices were supposed to join the ones we’ve mentioned later this month, based on the original schedule, though that may change. In any case, we’re waiting for more information.
