New Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Character Is a Black Spider Clan Member

Dotemu announced there will be a second Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound playable character, and she will be a Black Spider Clan kunoichi named Kumori. She’ll join Ryu Hayabusa’s student Kenji Mozu as the two possible avatars. While the Black Spider Clan members didn’t appear as enemies in the original Ninja Gaiden Tecmo NES games, they appeared in multiple entries developed by Team Ninja. Kumori is an entirely new and original character for this installment, just like Kenji. Like Hayabusa Village, Black Spider HQ is under attack by unknown forces as this game begins. As Kumori part of a different organization, her types of attacks and moveset will look different than Kenji’s. She uses Fiend style attacks, traditional ninja weapons like kunai, and even a motorcycle in the initial stages shown. The trailer announcing her reveal also confirmed a Ninja Fusion that combines Kenji and her in one body to allow access to both sorts of abilities at once when attacking.
