Two PS Plus Extra games that mysteriously went missing from the catalog have now returned, presumably after Sony fixed a PS Store glitch that removed them. Both UFC 5 and Dead Island 2 disappeared without a warning, and while UFC 5 is back in all regions, Dead Island 2 has only reappeared in some regions.

PS Plus games have been disappearing and reappearing in recent months

We’re not quite sure what’s been going on with the PS Store, but over the last few months, we’ve seen quite a few instances of games being removed and added back. Sometimes, they’re back within days, but there have been occasions where games went missing for weeks as was the case with Sayonara Wild Hearts.

This time, UFC 5 returned within a few days but Dead Island 2 remains missing for some players. We can confirm that Dead Island 2 appears in the PS Plus catalog in the U.K. but the game’s U.S. PS Store page doesn’t carry the PS Plus tag.

What this means is that players who have already added Dead Island 2 to their libraries should be able to play without an issue, but those who haven’t will be prompted to purchase the title instead.

We advise waiting a few more days before reattempting to download Dead Island 2.
