Day 1135 : Old Man

liner notes: Saturday : There was a lot happening this week at the station. We now have someone in the time slot before our show, so I wasn't really able to get in the studio early to set up the computer to play the stuff to start the show. I got some tickets for an event to give away on the show which is great, but I was the only one on the show this week, so I had to run to the studio to take calls when it was time for the giveaway. And if that wasn't enough, I was getting some noise in the audio stream so I unplugged my iPad and it solved the issue. It also made the iPad shutdown in the middle of the show and end the audio stream. So that was fun running back and forth to the studio trying to figure out what to play so there wasn't any dead air while the iPad charged back up. I basically put on an old recording of the show from a few years ago. Weird thing is that when the iPad came back to life, the battery was at 80%!!! Also, had a battery issue with my phone so I plugged in my laptop's cable into it to keep it charged, but I think that effected the way that my laptop recorded the show audio because it sounded slightly off. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com Sunday : Did the study sessions over at https://untilit.works Initially, I didn't think I got a lot of stuff done, but at the end, looking at what I did, I felt pretty good. In addition to the normal tasks, I finally finished up the case for the enclosure of the large format printer. I printed another test of the lenticular model. I think I finally got a good way to print it so that it has the best chance of turning out great. Still takes like 9 and a half hours to print so I only had one chance. I also found an online IDE that doesn't break when I set up an Astro project with the Cloudflare adapter. I think I found out the issue. The Cloudflare adapter is looking for certain libraries that aren't in the versions of the OS that the other IDEs I've been using. I looked at so many different options but found that Project IDX from Google worked! I was able to hook it up to a GitHub repo and have the site deployed to Cloudflare. I even hooked up the domain name. Now I can start creating the site! Professional : Started the day off in a couple of meetings. I reviewed the review of a blog post I wrote. I did some research for some community questions. Then spent the rest of the day trying to understand some old code from a person that isn't at the company anymore for an application used in a blog post. It's using a third party library that doesn't allow me to add some changes. Had to look up a bunch of stuff and use AI to help figure out a way to make it work. I almost have it the way I want, just need to tweak some more things. Not a bad day. Personal : So, to help increase the probability of a better 3D print of the lenticular model, I dried the filament for 8 hours! I'm switching out the transparent filament for black to see if the effect is enhanced. Plus I think the transparent filament could be more difficult to print the way I'm using it. The black and white filament are designed for high flow, so I think they should print a little more cleanly. We'll see. Also did some more work on the design of the site I want to launch this week. My main focus is to get this site up and running this week. Going to work on getting the main page set up. I'm keeping it super minimal and light on complicated features. Basically just have a way to log in, buy something and see what you bought. I'll also be adding a way to do live streams. I already have some Web Components set up, so it should be good. I just need to figure out how I want to handle the database. Looking at the preview camera of the 3D printer and the black filament seems to be printing a lot cleaner than the transparent filament. Really hoping it turns out good. Got like 8 hours left. May listen to some tracks while I work on the site. I'm out to eat some dinner and get to work. Going to try and get to bed early because I'm an old man and need my sleep, especially when trying to think clearly to get this project launched this week. Have a great night! peace piece Dwane / conshus https://dwane.io / https://HIPHOPandCODE.com

A breathtaking vista of a valley filled with a sea of fog, viewed from a high vantage point with forested hillsides in the foreground. The sky above the fog displays a dramatic sunset with vibrant oranges and yellows near the horizon, transitioning to darker blues and grays overhead. The location is Cape Perpetua, OR, USA.
