The OnePlus Watch 3 is coming, mark your calendars!

OnePlus has officially announced the launch of its latest smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3. The smartwatch is set to hit markets in the United States, Canada, and Europe on the 18th of February. The upcoming wearable features an updated design, improved performance, and a ton more battery life than its predecessor.

Improved battery life

One of the main changes to the OnePlus Watch 3 is its battery life. The smartwatch now comes with a 631mAh battery. The company promises a remarkable 16-day battery life in power-saving mode and up to five days in smart mode. This should be considerably longer than its predecessor which was rated for about 100 hours.

This improvement in battery life is thanks to the dual-chipset architecture. The OnePlus Watch 3 is powered by the Snapdragon W5 and the BES2800 MCU Efficiency chipset. This means that the smartwatch can switch between the chipsets to balance performance and efficiency. It also enables fast charging, with just 10 minutes of charging enough to provide a full day’s use.

A new durable design

The OnePlus Watch 3 features a stainless steel case and a titanium alloy bezel with a PVD coating for that extra bit of durability. It also boasts a 2D Sapphire Crystal display that offers enhanced brightness and improved durability. OnePlus has also introduced a new digital crown, a feature that might be familiar to Apple Watch users.

The smartwatch is available in two color options, Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium. The Emerald Titanium variant sports a silver titanium bezel with a green fluororubber strap, while the Obsidian Titanium model offers a black titanium bezel paired with a black fluororubber strap.

OnePlus is expected to reveal more details during its official launch event on the 18th of February. The launch event can be streamed via the OnePlus Europe YouTube channel.
