CommunityOverCode is the official global conference series of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF), formerly known as ApacheCon. Since 1998, even before the ASF was established, ApacheCon has attracted participants from all levels to explore the “technologies of tomorrow” across more than 300 Apache projects and their diverse communities. CommunityOverCode showcases the latest developments and emerging innovations of Apache projects through hands-on sessions, keynotes, real-world case studies, training, hackathons, and more. In 2021, to better serve the rapidly growing Apache users and contributors in the Asia-Pacific region, we hosted the first CommunityOverCode online event tailored to APAC time zones. This successfully brought the Apache Asia conference to China and attracted participants from all over the world. This year, we invite open-source enthusiasts, Apache users, and developers from around the world to join us in Beijing — CommunityOverCode Asia 2025 will be held in Beijing from July 25 to 27. We will showcase the latest breakthroughs from Apache projects, upcoming innovations from the Apache Incubator, and community-driven projects led by “The Apache Way.” Together, we will explore topics such as the Apache ecosystem, business models for Apache software, legal issues in open source, and much more. We aim to demonstrate how ASF, through sharing the latest Apache project breakthroughs and upcoming innovations in the Incubator, continues to provide reliable and innovative open-source software and foster open, collaborative, and innovative communities that advance society and create global value. We sincerely invite developers and open-source contributors worldwide to submit proposals and engage in in-depth discussions on topics including the Apache project ecosystem, cutting-edge practices, and community governance.
