Samsung TV Plus makes a serious play for sports fans

Samsung TV Plus is bolstering its live TV streaming offering for Samsung TV owners by adding additional coverage of sports. Today, Samsung announced that it’s now adding live access to select local and national games from “top sports leagues and governing bodies.” As of right now, Samsung TV Plus now has access to local Anaheim Ducks games for the 2025-2026 season. Samsung confirms that it will also be adding access for the 2026-2027 season. All of this will be available via the Victory+ Anaheim channel that Samsung added last season. Basically, it’s a good time to be an Anaheim Ducks fan.
Ducks fans aren’t the only ones who will be able to enjoy new local sports games and content. Starting later this year, Samsung will be adding access to Dallas Stars games and content through the Victory+ Dallas channel. Samsung doesn’t say when this content will be added, just that it’s happening later in 2025. Samsung also confirms that it plans to add more local sports in the future.
Samsung TV Plus also now includes the Roku Sports Channel, and other national offerings
Local sports isn’t the only new sports content coming to the service. NASCAR fans will be able to catch the latest races, with the service adding “continuous race coverage” alongside some original programming. The NASCAR content will also include race replays for those who may have missed specific content they weren’t able to see live.
If NASCAR isn’t your thing, then the Roku Sports Channel might be more up your alley. The Roku Sports Channel will feature a broad spectrum of sports content across tons of different sports. This includes the X Games, live MLB games, and Formula E races.
With these new channels added, Samsung is really trying to become the one-stop shop for all of your favorite sports content. The company also announced a massive partnership with MLB, Formula 1, the PGA Tour, and other sports organizations and networks.
With its huge wealth of content and these sports offerings, Samsung TV Plus offers almost 700 free channels for viewers to consume content from.
