A new update has started rolling out to the OnePlus 12. This is a global update, and it not only improves security on the phone, but it adds new features too. The update is marked as OxygenOS 15.0.0.701. It’s based on Android 15.

First and foremost, this update delivers a new Android security patch to the phone, the one for March 2025. That should enhance system security, of course. That’s not all that the phone is getting, however.

With this update, OnePlus has introduced resizable folders on the home screen. You can resize them by dragging to 1×2 or 2×1. On top of that, the dock can now display 5 apps even when the Home screen is set to display 4 apps per row.

This update also improves the music player controls in Live Alerts, at least as far as Spotify is concerned. OnePlus has also improved the process of resetting your privacy password. You’ll be prompted to link your privacy password to your account. Therefore, if you forget it, you can use your account in order to reset your password and access your private data.

Those are basically all changes that are listed in the company’s changelog. Do note that the update is rolling out gradually, but widely. So you should get it in the near future, if you haven’t already.

The rollout of this update started about a week ago in India. As no major bugs were spotted, OnePlus started rolling it out to other global markets too. So, it shouldn’t be long before it lands on your device.
