The Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 is now official, and it will be available starting on May 15. And it’s the most powerful flip phone on the market right now.
This is thanks to Motorola using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite inside, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Despite the Razr Ultra now being priced at $1,299, these are better specs than the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the only other competitor in North America.
The Motorola Razr will also be available in four colors: PANTONE Rio Red, PANTONE Scarab, PANTONE Mountain Trail, and PANTONE Cabaret. Each of these colors is a different material as well. With the PANTONE Rio Red and Cabaret being a faux leather, the PANTONE Mountain Trail is a wood material and the PANTONE Scarab is an Alcantara finish.

Surprisingly, it looks like the Motorola Razr Ultra, like the Razr Plus won’t be available at Verizon. This is likely due to it not having mmWave 5G, and only 5G Sub-6. Motorola has also included a boatload of AI tools, including integration from Microsoft CoPilot, Perplexity, Meta and Gemini. Motorola has also introduced a few AI features like “Catch me up,” which will catch you up on all of your notifications and allows you to reply to messages on that same screen without jumping into apps.
Motorola will retail the Razr Ultra for $1,299. Pricing could vary by retailer, however. Pre-orders will start on May 7 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola.com. It’s going on sale at AT&T and T-Mobile on May 15.
