While we all patiently await more information on Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Game Freak, the series’ developer, has launched its new mobile RPG Pandoland worldwide alongside development partner WonderPlanet. The free app is a world away from Pokémon’s creature collecting, but is filled with Game Freak’s signature charm. Pandoland is a casual mobile RPG that sees you lead an expedition team across a cloud-covered realm to uncover legendary treasures. Its colorful voxel art style is reminiscent of games like Minecraft and Trove, mixed with the sea-faring adventures of One Piece. You can encounter over 500 unique characters throughout your journey, expanding your adventuring team and making new friends. As well as teaming up with virtual adventurers, you can add your real friends to unlock rare quests and share information on bosses and dungeons. As part of Pandoland’s launch campaign, you can earn SR guaranteed tickets for inviting friends to join the game alongside you. Oh yeah, as well as being a mobile RPG, Pandoland is a gacha game, too.
