The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available now on the PS Store, allowing PS5 users to experience the lauded Bethesda RPG with a fresh coat of paint. However, it seems PS5 Pro players may receive additional performance and graphical improvements as it is “PS5 Pro Enhanced.” Additionally, the game supports PlayStation Plus streaming.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered takes advantage of the more powerful PS5 Pro console
As seen on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered’s PlayStation Store page, the remake of the beloved RPG is PS5 Pro Enhanced. As of this writing, specifics on how the console improves performance or graphics are not detailed. According to user Berserker_Rex on the PS5 subreddit, they claim it has a performance and quality mode for graphics, but nothing else beyond that. A bit unrelated, but they also confirm it does not feature HDR.
The game’s PS Store page also confirms that PS5 game streaming is supported for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. This means players could stream the game without actually downloading it to their local PS5 console. This also means it can be streamed using the PlayStation Portal handheld device. However, this feature is only available for PS Plus Premium subscribers, which costs $17.99 per month currently.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered recreates Bethesda’s critically acclaimed RPG from 2006. Built with Unreal Engine 5, the remake features overhauled visuals and gameplay changes to bring the nearly 20-year-old game to a modern audience. The complete story of the series’ fourth installment is here, including the base game and the story expansions Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available on the PS Store for $49.99. The Deluxe Edition comes with a few other cosmetic goodies and costs $59.99.
