This Snapdragon OLED 2-in-1 laptop is a steal for just $430
The new generation of Arm-powered laptops hasn’t been flying off the shelves like Microsoft et al. hoped they would. Despite licking those compatibility issues (mostly) and being lightweight and super-long-lasting battery-wise, I think buyers were hoping for better deals with those new AI-ready chips. Well, here’s just such a deal: a Lenovo convertible OLED laptop with Snapdragon X guts for only $429.99. We’ve featured the IdeaPad 5X before—it was one of the few new Snapdragon Copilot+ laptops that actually started out as a good value, thanks to its OLED touchscreen and solid specs. But right now Newegg is selling a refurbished version on eBay for over $400 off the original price from late last year. (And that was for a 512GB SSD, while this one has 1TB.) 16GB of RAM is great for running Windows 11 smoothly, and the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor should handle just about everything… with the notable exception of 3D gaming. I really like that this laptop comes with an OLED touchscreen, a very hard thing to find on any budget design. Other highlights from our review include a surprising selection of ports, fingerprint and face scanning via Windows Hello, and a solid keyboard. The battery life is a little below average for a Snapdragon laptop with 14.5 hours of video playback, but that still puts it well above many other recent designs. That should get you through any workday, even if you’re hitting tons of browser tabs hard. This IdeaPad 5X is a refurbished model sold with a 1-year Allstate warranty, which is less than we’ve been seeing recently, yet still much better than the 90-day warranty you get on the same model sold on Newegg for $60 less. It’s a darn good deal, but if this one isn’t to your liking, be sure to check out our roundup of the best budget laptops. Get a Snapdragon OLED 2-in-1 laptop for a banger price: $430Buy now on eBay
