ASUS’ New Strix OLED Monitor is as Premium as it Gets

ASUS recently announced the launch of its new monitor under its Strix OLED line, which comes with some impressive hardware and software features, which according to the company are all designed for users “looking for a monitor for gaming, content consumption, and daily use.” Known as the Strix OLED XG27UCDMG, the monitor also comes with a hefty price tag.

For a thousand bucks, you’re a 27-inch 4K resolution display, which is built on a 4th-gen QD-OLED panel that also features a 240Hz refresh rate and Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology to reduce onscreen flicker. ASUS has also integrated the monitor with its OLED Care Pro technology, which uses a Neo Proximity sensor that can dim down the display to a black screen when the user is away to reduce the likelihood of burn-in.

Other features include support for DisplayPort 1.4 and Display Stream Compression (DSC), with HDMI 2.1, and USB Type-C (with 90-watt support) for connectivity, a slim, frameless panel as well as signature ROG Aura Sync and light projection, a ¼-inch tripod socket for streaming setups, and a monitor stand with a built-in phone holder. The monitor is available for select markets starting today.
