Who is Nishant Rana? An Introductory Blog
Hello People... I am Nishant Rana, a 3rd year B.tech (CSE) student at Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. So let's start from the start... I'm in the 2nd year of my B.tech and as one of my seniors suggested, I created a LinkedIn account, and then I started exploring tech. Now at this time I have made some connections and I see posts of people going to events, so I also wanted to, and the cherry on top is that I found out one of Google events is happening in Dehradun. I registered for that asap and got a chance to meet senior people, got some goodies, and days at that time were so good. Then, after a while, as some people suggested, I started joining communities and got opportunities to get internships, but at very low pay or incentive-based internships. After a while, I got to know about the Google Cloud Innovator program, and I enrolled in it and got selected as well, and I am currently a part of that. But I continued joining events and communities and got to know about open source, and then I kicked off my open source journey with the open-source event Girl Script Summer of Code (GSSoC) and then kept joining the OS events like Devfest.AI, HacktoberFest, SWOC (Social Winter of code), AcWoc (Android Club Winter of Code), and more. I also maintained top ranks in these as well. With all these, I want to end my first blog, Thanks to God that today I am the part of many communities and join a lot of events while also creating satisfactory projects and contributing to Open-Source.
