Rocket League Getting New Star Wars Mode And Free Goodies For May 4th
Just as Star Wars season starts in Fortnite on Friday, Rocket League is getting its own dose of that galaxy far, far away--which will involve a new limited-time mode called Car Wars, a large pile of stuff you can buy in the item shop, and, as always, some free stuff that you can unlock just by playing the game. This new Star Wars event will run for two weeks, from May 2 until May 16.Star Wars is taking over Rocket League this month.The new limited-time mode, Car Wars, will swap out the normal goal for a somewhat more difficult target: a thermal exhaust port, like the one on the Death Star that Luke Skywalker shot a torpedo into. To help you with this task, the Spike Rush mutator will make the ball stick to you for a few seconds while you drive it into the hole.Rocket League is also bringing back last year's limited Star Wars mode, G-Force Frenzy, a 3v3 mode in which players have unlimited boost--but it's far more powerful than the normal boost.Continue Reading at GameSpot
