My unofficial Earth Day post, featuring a few community projects

Earth Day creeped up on us this year and I'm sorry to say we don't have an official DEV celebration to offer. I'm personally reflecting on how this is possibly the case for us this year - of all years - but that'll be a discussion with the team later. My Earth Day awareness kicked in today when I stumbled across this post: We Came. We Coded. We Cleaned the Planet (and Won). Naman Raj ・ Apr 15 #hackathon #devjournal #machinelearning #showdev Reading about hackathon experiences always puts me in a good mood. I'm so impressed by how our community consistently rises to challenges with such creativity and determination, and I'm so happy this team got their waste management project recognized as the winner. There are a lot of possibilities at the intersection of climate and tech that make me feel cautiously optimistic about our future. To keep the good vibes flowing, I started perusing our Earth Day celebration from last year - our second-ever frontend challenge. We had some really great submissions so I thought I'd highlight the winners again and share some additional favorites: Earth rescue - A CSS only game Boris ・ Apr 25 '24 #frontendchallenge #devchallenge #css #gamedev Happy Earth Day Jorge del Campo ・ Apr 26 '24 #frontendchallenge #devchallenge #css Earth Day Frontend Challenge landing page: Hugging Earth dongsu ・ Apr 26 '24 #devchallenge #frontendchallenge #css #javascript Earth Day Celebration Landing Page submission Daniel Hodvogner ・ Apr 18 '24 #devchallenge #frontendchallenge #css #javascript Earth Day Frontend Challenge: Where Creativity Meets the Cosmos! chintanonweb ・ Apr 26 '24 #devchallenge #frontendchallenge #css #javascript Submission for Frontend Challenge Earth-Day-Edition: different elements of Earth: CSS Card animation Sundus Hussain ・ Apr 26 '24 #devchallenge #frontendchallenge #css #javascript Thanks for checking them out.
