AI can be many things, and one of those things is a digital tutor. With finals coming up for college students, there’s a ton of stress and anxiety among students at the moment. This is why any sort of help will be appreciated. While some people use it to cheat on their assignments, there are students who use this technology to augment their studies.
This is something that Google hopes that more students will do, as it just released a new promotion. This will give students access to “the best of Google AI.”
Google is offering college students Gemini Advance for free
Companies typically have special deals and perks for college students, and Google is no different. The search giant just announced that it wants to help students out by granting them access to some pretty powerful AI for free.
For a limited time, Google is offering Gemini Advance to college students for free. In case you don’t know, this is the paid subscription service that Google offers. It costs $19.99/month, and it gives users access to advanced features and more powerful models. Not only that, but students will have a massive 2TB of cloud storage.
If they utilize this deal, users will be able to use the new Gemini 2.5 Pro model along with Google’s VEO 2 video generation model. Since this is targeted at students, it should come as no surprise that Google is tossing in NotebookLM Plus. This gives students more Audio Overviews, additional space for notebooks, and more.
Also, Deep Research will help students research for their assignments. This is a new tool that Google just introduced. Lastly, students will be able to use Whisk. This is an experimental platform that lets students generate images and videos.
Google will make this free for students this year and next year, and it’s for students in the U.S. So, if you’re a student, you should sign up for it before June 30th. You’ll get free access all the way through finals 2026.
