Excellent bullet time shooter El Paso Elsewhere is getting a sequel
Max Payne is easily one of the most videogamey videogames of all time. It's pulpy, it's stylish, and there probably isn't a better mechanic in any other shooter than its slow-motion bullet time. Well, maybe the time travel sequence from Titanfall 2, but that's only for one section of the game. So when El Paso, Elsewhere was announced way back in 2021, a supernatural, vampire-focused take on the Max Payne formula, I was immediately intrigued. The third-person shooter eventually released back in 2023, and quickly proved itself to be pretty popular, but I have to admit it left me wanting more.
