The first full details of the new AMD Radeon RX 9070 gaming GPU have just been officially revealed, and if AMD’s claims hold up to scrutiny, it could seriously threaten the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, which has the same MSRP. According to AMD’s own figures, the new graphics card makes big strides when it comes to ray tracing performance, and it supports AMD’s new fine-looking FSR 4 upscaling tech to improve frame rates without making your games look like a blurry mess. AMD’s own figures cite the Radeon RX 7900 GRE and RTX 3080 as a point of comparison, which on isn’t particularly helpful on the face of it.
