Was there an earthquake in Tokyo on the afternoon of April 26? There have been rumors going around lately. I’ve never really believed in prophecy — 99% of them are vague or never come true. But ever since I started working in Tokyo, the intense pressure has made me overly sensitive to almost everything. Even though I’ve already prepared all the necessary emergency supplies, I still hope nothing actually happens... We live in a rapidly changing world — with the fast pace of the internet and AI, ongoing wars, economic issues like tariffs — all while trying to keep up with learning new languages and technologies. On top of that, I’m no longer that young, and there’s the constant worry about aging parents. These days, I tend to prepare for everything in advance, but this perfectionism sometimes pushes me to the brink. What truly brings me peace and eases my anxiety now is simply "an ordinary day." It turns out that being ordinary and living a normal life is actually the hardest thing to achieve.
