The Latent Space Event: A Premier AI DevTools Meetup
What if AI could write entire applications from scratch, eliminate tech debt, and create software that never needs refactoring? That’s the future we explored last Saturday at The Latent Space: AI DevTools MeetUp at Bangalore. What started as an idea for a small café meetup quickly grew into a must-attend event, thanks to the incredible support of DevRev and Tailcall. DevRev provided the perfect venue, while Tailcall sponsored lunch, fueling deep technical discussions. Investors took notice, and a niche developer gathering evolved into a hub of innovation. We are truly humbled by the incredible response—from VPs, CTOs, founders, investors, students, and of course developers—who made this event far more special than we ever imagined. Talks and Demos That Defined the Day The event kicked off with Sunil Pandey from DevRev, who introduced Agentic AI and showcased how DevRev is pushing the boundaries of conversational AI in the workplace. Next, we had an engaging AMA with Abhinav Lal, founder of Practo. He shared his journey of building Practo into one of India’s leading health-tech startups and discussed the vast potential of AI in healthcare. The session was packed with thoughtful discussions, highlighting how AI can revolutionize medical diagnosis, patient engagement, and operational efficiencies in the industry. Following this, we moved into the flash demos, where innovators showcased their projects: Robin Gupta demonstrated Test Zeus, a powerful AI-driven testing tool that enables seamless end-to-end testing for Salesforce. Amir presented Bodhi App, which allows users to run LLMs locally. [Check out the repo here]. Harish demonstrated some workflows he has created to increase his productivity—ideas that are highly relevant to all developers Sandip, a 3rd-year student and active open-source contributor, shared a fascinating real-world use case of Code Forge. Pratik, a community member, delivered a thought-provoking talk on MCP. Then came the highlight of the day—Tushar’s talk and demo. As the founder of Tailcall and former VP of Engineering at Dream11, Tushar offered a bold vision for the future of software development in an AI-first world. His key insights: Throw-away apps will become common—With development costs dropping, people will create applications for single-use scenarios, like building an app to explain quantum physics interactively to a child. Custom languages for AI agents—Future programming languages will be specifically designed for AI-driven development. Single-use libraries—Developers will create entire libraries tailored for specific applications. Most importantly, software development will become immutable—Zero tech debt, no more refactors, enabling developers to completely reshape an application’s architecture when introducing new features. He then demoed Code Forge, Tailcall’s flagship AI coding agent that can build applications from scratch and enhance large existing codebases. Rather than explaining too much here, we highly recommend checking out their repo. A Community Begins to Take Shape After an incredible lineup of talks and demos, we all gathered for lunch, generously sponsored by Tailcall. Conversations flowed, connections were made, and a real sense of community started to form. What began as a simple meetup turned into something much more—a space where ideas were exchanged, collaborations were sparked, and the future of AI-powered development was explored. This is just the beginning for The Latent Space. Want to be part of the next event? Our waitlist for speakers and attendees is already filling up! Join the waitlist here and be the first to know.
