Please help me to host React vite project as Wordpress theme

I try to intergrate React project(working well in local) to wordpress server because I need to replace old wordpress website with my new react website with same domain. I built project and uploaded react project as new theme. But if I visit website with domain via browser after activating new react theme, I can still see previous wordpress website (unstyled just broken css). I am very stuck in now. Looking forward to your help
