The main downside to using Rewind is that other players will still race at normal speed, so players could potentially lose a lead if they decide to use it. The fact that it can only be used when playing races solo also makes it unclear if Rewind will work in multiplayer.Rewind's presentation in-game is fairly minimalist, as a simple undo button appears on screen as players move backward.Rewind isn't the only helpful new trick players have been given in Mario Kart World. Charge Jump lets players leap over obstacles, rail grind, or wall ride after drifting in a straight line. Features like Smart Steering, Auto-Accelerate, Auto-Use Item, and Tilt Controls will also return in Mario Kart World, and Nintendo will release a special Joy-Con 2 Wheel peripheral to hold the Nintendo Switch 2's controllers.
