Cybersecurity : my initial thoughts on it

All i knew before i went into learning about cybersecurity 6 months ago was that it was all about hacking, this line of thought was mostly from movies where all you'd see was some dude sitting in front of a screen and often times saying "im in" after spending a short time hacking into a highly secured facility. I already began to imagine hacking into stuff (i wasn't particularly interested in what i had seen on tv) but finding out that there were multiple areas in cybersecurity that weren't about hacking was really surprising and honestly a bit relieving. It's been a tough journey but it's been rewarding so far, I still feel like i don't know anything about cybersecurity even though its been over 6 months of learning and unlearning stuff.
