PlayStation Portal Update Adds More Features To Cloud Streaming
Sony has announced that it'll be pushing out a new update later today for the PlayStation Portal remote player. The new update will focus on the Cloud Streaming Beta feature.Players will now be able to utilize the Create button just like they would on a PS5 DualSense controller when cloud streaming select games from the PS Plus Catalog. Pressing it once opens up the create menu, holding it down takes a screenshot, and pressing it twice enables video recordings.Gameplay will now pause during cloud streaming sessions when players open up the PS Portal quick menu and also when a system error message is displayed at the bottom of the screen. It will also pause if the Portal is put into rest mode. However, if it's in rest mode for more than 15 seconds, the cloud streaming session will be disconnected.
