Summary: The YouTube channel Techtacle has unboxed the upcoming OnePlus 13T ahead of its official launch, revealing a few key surprises. Most notably, the device lacks any Hasselblad branding, marking a shift in OnePlus’s camera strategy, and it features a new Quick Button—first seen on the OPPO Find X8 Ultra—that replaces the iconic Alert Slider.
OnePlus has confirmed that it will be launching the 13T next week, during an event in China. Which means that it is likely not the global launch for this model, but that doesn’t rule out a global launch coming later on.
And now, the YouTube channel Techtacle has gotten its hands on a retail unit of the OnePlus 13T and has unboxed it. There’s not many surprises with this unboxing, though one thing we did notice was no mention of Hasselblad at all. The unboxing does also show us the new Quick Button, which debuted on the OPPO Find X8 Ultra last week. Replacing the iconic Alert Slider.
Global OnePlus 13T is still up in the air
Many of us are excited about this device, but it’s unclear whether OnePlus will launch this phone globally or not. It is essentially a smaller version of the OnePlus 13, and so far, it’s only confirmed for a Chinese launch. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t come to global markets, as many Chinese OEMs will launch their new device in China first, sometimes months before it launches globally.
OnePlus 13T will be available in Morning Mist Gray, Cloud Ink Black and a Pink color. It will also sport a flat 6.32-inch display, versus the quad curved display of the OnePlus 13. It will also run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which we have seen benchmarked and the Geekbench scores are very similar to the OnePlus 13.
It will also sport two 50-megapixel camera sensors on the rear, with a primary sensor and a 2x telephoto sensor. This is all powered by a 6,100mAh capacity battery. Which is actually larger than the OnePlus 13, which is quite impressive. We’re expecting some very impressive battery life here. Finally, the OnePlus 13T will sport IP68 and IP69 certifications.
