Innovating for the world: YourStory announces GCC Summit 2025

Set up as cost-saving back offices, India’s Global Capability Centres (GCC) are now hubs of innovation, strategy, and leadership, driving AI, automation, and digital transformation. India now has more than 1,700 GCCs, which are no longer just supporting global businesses but also shaping them.

YourStory has announced GCC Summit 2025, a one-day summit that will spotlight India’s rise as a GCC leader. The leadership conference, to be held on June 13, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Bengaluru, aims to empower stakeholders, foster collaboration, and enable innovation.

Focused on the theme Global leaders, local impact: Supercharging India’s GCC initiatives, GCC Summit 2025 will explore AI-driven transformation, talent strategies, policy frameworks, and cross-border collaboration. The event will focus on four broad themes:

  • Tech Innovation: Stay ahead with cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of GCCs.
  • Policy and Regulations: Navigate regulatory shifts to drive seamless GCC operations.
  • Talent, Retention and Culture: Build and sustain high-performing teams in an evolving workforce landscape.
  • Security and Data: Strengthen your cybersecurity framework in an increasingly digital world.

The summit, designed for visionaries, decision-makers, and innovators shaping the future of GCCs, aims to equip leaders with insights to navigate the next phase of growth.

According to EY’s ‘Future of GCCs in India - a vision 2030’ report, the domestic GCC market size is estimated to reach $110 billion by 2030, led by software exports, a key component of India's service exports. The report predicts that by 2030, “India will have 2400 GCCs and that number can potentially increase to 2550 as India emerges as the world's technology and services hub”. The number of new GCC set-ups every year can jump up to 115 from the current 70.

The main factors contributing to India’s sustained GCC market size expansion include an increase in software export services, growth in Tier II cities, collaboration with a thriving startup ecosystem, and development of the GCC talent pool.

Interestingly, India is likely to see a 15-20% rise in non-US companies setting up GCCs over the next two years. With the UK, Germany, Japan, and Nordic countries exploring India’s GCC potential, the stage seems set with exciting opportunities for businesses to grow and innovate in emerging cities.

GCCs may have started as operational hubs, but have now emerged as centres of innovation. Global multinational corporations are now tapping India’s mature digital capabilities, technical talent pool, and advanced engineering solutions. The revenues generated by GCCs—more than $64 billion—are testimony to this.

NASSCOM's India GCC Landscape Report states that the country remains “well positioned for future growth through prioritisation on skills development, cybersecurity, and progressive policy frameworks”. “[India’s] emphasis on high-end engineering roles and strategic partnerships also enables it to meet the evolving needs of global companies, fostering sustainable practices and driving innovation,” it says.

As India’s GCCs evolve from back-office hubs into innovation powerhouses, YourStory’s GCC Summit 2025 is a must-attend for leaders keen to explore AI-driven transformation, policy frameworks, talent strategies, and cross-border collaboration.
