The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is reportedly going to launch in a 32GB variant after the initial 16GB version launches, according to a new rumor. However, given what's been rumored so far about this gaming GPU's likely specs, it's unlikely this extra VRAM will make much difference to gaming performance. While AMD did announce this new GPU at the CES trade show in January 2025, it hasn’t said much since then. There's been no official announcement on the RX 9070 XT specs, and only an early March launch window teased by the GPU maker. Given that AMD is abandoning high-end gaming GPUs for this generation, we're not expecting AMD to challenge Nvidia when it comes to the very best graphics card performance, with the RX 9070 XT likely to offer mid-tier performance instead.
