The PS Store has tons of demos available for PS4 and PS5 players to enjoy, but not many of them are critically acclaimed. However, developer and publisher Atlus just released a demo for one of its lauded JRPGs that launched last year.
Persona 3 Reload PS5, PS4 demo now available on PS Store
Atlus announced it is releasing a demo of Persona 3 Reload a year after its release in 2024. Available now on the PS Store for both PS4 and PS5, the demo allows players to check the game out without the stress of making a purchase they may regret. For the players that end up enjoying their experience, progress made in the demo carries over to the full game upon purchase.
“Step into the shoes of a transfer student who is thrusted into an unexpected fate,” says the demo’s description. “Awaken an incredible power and chase the mysteries of the Dark Hour, fight for your friends, and leave a mark on their memories forever. The demo allows you to play through the story’s opening, leading up to the first major boss battle against a formidable, large Shadow.”
When Persona 3 Reload launched, it was met with favorable reviews. According to review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 87 across 68 critic reviews. So, this demo is definitely worth a try, even for non-JRPG fans.
Right now, Persona 3 Reload is $69.99 on the PS Store for PS5 and PS4. However, the Atlus JRPG is regularly discounted. Back in February, the price went down to $34.99, which is a solid price for the acclaimed game.
The Persona 3 Reload demo is not the only demo recently added to the PS Store. The upcoming sci-fi shooter, Metal Edan, has a free demo right now. Published by Deep Silver and developed by Reikon Games, this was one of the many games showcased during February 2025’s PlayStation State of Play.
